It has been said that there is much fungus among us and if you have taken a walk in the woods lately, you may have noticed fungus in the way of much moss, lichens and yes even mushrooms. Mushrooms basically are classified as a fungi, but are also vegetables. And if you remember mother telling you to eat your veggies when you were a kid-well hopefully you listened to her, because she was right. Take the legendary cartoon character Popeye for example. It did this cartoon character much justice, in more ways than one, by eating that daily can of spinach to help keep him big and strong. However for most of us, what is good for the goose is not always good for the gander.

What we seem to visualize on our dinner plates as being tasty; is not always overly appeailing to us. Most mushrooms on the other hand, never really look appealing. In fact they are what I call the ugly vegetable. Not trying to insinuate that one vegetalbe is more beautiful than another. Some folks may basically find that they do not look appealing, so because of this, they may not want to eat them. In addition a majority of mushrooms, are also very toxic and contain poisons, which will without a doubt make us very sick and sometimes may even kill us. So with those thoughts instilled in our mind, we can see why a good number of individuals, try to feed their dinner vegetables to the pet dogs, hiding beneath the table.

There are many people who also consume large amounts of coffee on a daily basis-in fact numerous cups a day to be exact. A few select coffees contain mushroom extracts that are added to the original blend. One particular mushroom sometimes found in certain coffees, goes by the fancy name of Ganoderma Luciderm. The Ganoderma mushroom also referred to as Reishi, dates back as far back as the ancient chinese. For over 4000 years, it has also been used by the people in China, as an herbal medicine. It goes without saying that this powerful antioxidant can increase longevity by hindering the aging process alltogether. Coffees and other sources containing Ganoderma, provide a multitude of healty benefits. So keep that pot of coffee nearby as you read on further; about the multiple healing properties, that are found within this beneficial veggie and mushroom.

To better understand just how this particular mushroom benefits an individual from a health standpoint. Let's take a closer look at its composition to see why it is considered a potent antioxidant. First of all Ganoderma mushrooms of this variety; are made up of complex carbohydrates, that are found within their individual structures. These complex carbohydrates are called Triterpeniods. Triterpeniods or Triterpenes are mainly composed of amino acids. And as most of us know, amino acids are the building blocks of life. Think of Reishi, or Ganoderma mushrooms as being the building blocks that equate to life and longevity. Ganoderic acids a bi-product of Triterpenes can have an antihistamine effect on some individuals, by eliminating the allergic response-Leukotrines, mast cells and eosinophils for example. People In turn with severe allergies, to molds, dust, and dander will benefit from coffee laced with Ganoderma extract.

Individuals who suffer from a weakened immune system due to HIV or cancer's usually suffer from symptoms such as...fatiquie, lethargy appetite loss and loss of hair, due to the after effects of chemotherapy treatments. Yes Ganoderma has been proven in clinical studies, to do this and much more; in not just warding off cancer, heart disease and many other disease processes. It is in addition a medicinal mushroom; which can literally pack a punch in more ways than one. Below is a list of additional conditions that Ganoderma Luciderm is useful for.

  • assist in weight loss
  • lessen stress and anxiety problems
  • reduce cardiovascular problems
  • promote better sleep habits
  • assists with the prevention of premature aging of the skin
  • reduction of age spots and acne
  • beneficial in treating liver and lung disorders
  • treatment in GI, or Gastrointestinal disorders
  • Decrease incidence of Urinary Tract Infection
  • Protect against invading Viruses in the body
  • Act as an Antibacterial in the body
  • Has Antifungal properties
  • Reductions in Breast Cancer Incidence

So as you may have already gathered by reviewing the muliple health benefits obtained from the Ganoderma Luciderm Mushroom, or Reishi. That this fungus among us, is a noteworthy and powerful antioxidant; that can be included in a regimen of natural remedies. Among Reservatrol and Apple Cider Vinegar, to name a few other potent antioxidants. One good source as previously mentioned for getting your daily intake of Ganoderma, is from coffee. However not all coffees contain extract which contains the Ganoderma Luciderm extract. I have found that a coffee by the name of Organo Gold, is an excellent source of this potent herbal antioxidant. And if your a coffee drinker like a majority of the world is myself included; than you will find that this particular brand will help you to live a healthier, longer and better quality of life.

Organo Gold coffee I have found, contains its own unique taste and blend. It is a bit stronger and sweeter in comparison that a lot of other coffees available to the consumer. At least that is my opinion of the coffee. On a more positive note, I find that the Organo Gold coffee, containing Ganoderma luciderm extract, is not as bitter as other coffees and is priced reasonably in comparison to most coffees. Both in the supermarket and those found at health food stores. It is definitely no more pricy than starbucks brand coffee for example and is not as bitter. Again this is just my opionion because what tastes great to one individual may not taste the same to another. Each and everyone of us have different taste preferences when it comes to coffee and teas. You will just have to give it a try for yourself and than you be the judge. Coffee which contains the Ganoderma luciderm extract can be purchased online at this website. http://organogold.com/US/c_default.as.

Aloha medicinals is another online source where you can purchase Rheisi, in its natural supplement form. This is great for those individuals who find the taste of coffee offensive. Or for one reason or another cannot consume coffee or tea products. You can find and order Ganoderma Luciderm, at the following online distributor: http://www.alohamedicinals.com/reishi.htm?gclid=CO3ywu6G6awCFcbd4AodcE9RNw. To achieve the maximum benefit of these supplements you have to take one to three capsules twice a day. And like a good deal of other Vitamins, herbal supplements and even Prescription drugs for that matter. It usually takes at least three months to recognize the significant benefits delivered from a product like this. So patience is also a key factor here. And always remember to consult with your healthcare provider before beginning any vitamin or supplement program. It's just good common sense.

I have a bronchoil/respiratory condition resulting from exposure to (breathing) black toxic mold in living qtrs. which I discovered some 6 mths.ago. I have always revered my health & always meticulously guarded it until THIS. I am holistic all the way & have told a pulmologist who prescribed Advair/steroids to Kiss Off. I have been on a fungal free diet to help deal w/my condition. Eating mushrooms is suicidal for me. A friend of mine has been telling me ganoderma/mushroom can greatly help my condition. Pls.advise where I can review documentation that ganoderma has greatly helped someone with my medical condition. Any input greatly apprec'd.bg

I agree with you in relation to this article wholeheartedly. I was introduced to this coffee as the networking business first. After I tasted it for myself, not being a coffee drinker, I just really loved how it made me feel. Anyone with questions should simply google GANODERMA. It's an awesome herb and I'm doing everything in my power to spread the word. Voted up!

Hi Remedy:

Thanks for chiming in and providing feedback in reference to my Ganoderma article. You are certainly correct about Ganoderma having not only a smooth great taste, but also beneficial for assisting with many ailments. I was also introduced to this herb through the networking business and believe that it will do much for many people in the near future. It also does give you that "Giddy UP!" feeling doesn't it? That's how I first felt when I drank this coffee and I am a coffee drinker. When I compared it to other coffees out there I have to say-it doesn't compare to any on the market. Thanks for voting my article up.
